Dr. Jessica Loweth

Veterinarian

Dr. Jessica Loweth knew at age 3 she wanted to be a veterinarian. She earned her Biology degree from Longwood University in 2010, her DVM from Ross University/Colorado State in 2014, and completed surgery internships in Arizona and Washington. Her diverse career includes serving as an onboard vet for the U.S. Navy and practicing emergency medicine in Idaho and California. In 2024, she transitioned to general practice and joined our team. She enjoys crafting, gardening, beaches, and time with her pets Marley, Ruka, and her cats.

From the very young age of three Dr. Jessica Loweth knew that she wanted to be a veterinarian, a calling that began after her own cat was tragically lost. Born and raised in northern Virginia, she pursued her passion for animal care by earning a bachelor’s degree in Biology from Longwood University in 2010. She then attended Ross University on the beautiful island of St. Kitts, followed by clinical rotations at Colorado State University and graduated in 2014. Her dedication to veterinary medicine led her to complete surgery-focused internships in both Tucson, Arizona and Tacoma, Washington. Dr. Loweth has had a very diverse veterinary journey. She was given an amazing and unique opportunity where she was able to serve as an on-board veterinarian for the U.S. Navy during Full Ship Shock Trials before practicing emergency medicine in Boise, Idaho, and Fresno, California. Although she loved the fast pace of emergency medicine Dr Loweth wanted to be able to develop a lasting more personal relationship with clients and their beloved pets, so in (insert month) of 2024 Dr. Loweth made the decision to switch to general practice and joined our team. When she’s not caring for her patients, Dr. Loweth enjoys crafting, gardening, and seeking out new adventures, particularly those involving warm weather and beaches. At home, she is surrounded by her two dogs, Marley—a Coconut Retriever from St. Kitts—and Ruka, a Golden Retriever. A self-proclaimed “Crazy Cat Lady,” she also cares for a team of cherished kitties. Dr. Loweth’s dedication and compassion shines through in every aspect of her life making her a trusted partner in providing gentle care for your pets. We are so excited to have her join our team!
